Manufacturers recommended installation
details:
- Locate and excavate lateral. Take precautions to prevent
damage to other services.
- Prepare lateral access chamber for installation:
- Fit lip seals to groove of inlet and outlet.
- Cut 2 sections of 100 PVC pipe approx. 250mm long
and bevel ends.
- Lubricate rings with lubricant.
- Press fit stubs into chamber sockets.
- Fit rubber adaptor sleeves to each end of assembly.
- Cut and remove a section of exposed lateral pipe to allow
chamber installation.
- Lower chamber assembly into position and check for fit.
- Slide adaptor sleeves over existing lateral pipe. Centralise
and secure, according to manufacturers instructions.
- Check alignment of chamber at invert to ensure smooth
effluent flow.
- Measure, cut and fit 300mm diameter HDPE risers and seal
as required.
- Bed chamber in excavation, preferably with "flowfill"
(low strength 2mpa flowable fill). If "flowfill"
unavailable, builders mix can be used. Minimum depth of
backfill bedding is 100mm.
- Complete backfilling using builders mix (or excavated
fill) reinstate surface.
NB: Where chambers are located in driveways, protect
chamber from direct vehicular loading using metal surround
and lid or concrete slab.
